Church Schooling:
The church was Founded on January. 31, 2016 by Pastor Heather Smith, whom is a resurrected sinner and child of YeHoVaH; whom did some home schooling on her own; then was ordained September 13, 2013, by the Christian National Church. Whom allowed her to establish her own church, in accordance with the teaching of the YeHoVaH's Bible and Yeshua HaMashiach. She is taking classes at Regent University for a Bachelor's in Biblical and Theological Studies. With the understanding learned by these courses to change the church back to the way it was meant to be, as Yeshua and his disciple had established. She continues to learn on her own every day. She also is enrolled in End Time University. She also did lay ministry at Christian Church of Villa Park for a time. She has also been a chaplain for the VFW AUX Lilac Lombard Post #5815, and at one time was chaplain with the Lombard Jaycees. Pastor Heather plans on finishing her classes at Regent University, and then also start at Israel Bible Study.
Other Schooling:
Pastor Heather also has her Master's in Medical Massage Therapy, which enables for her to do massage, physical, and indirect chiropractic work. However, due to her health, she only does this now case by case. Not regular anymore. But she still utilizes her knowledge to help people who need it. She went to Wellness and Massage Training Institute and The Medical Massage Offices and Associates for her training. Plus, she has also done some on-line home base classes.
Oher Activities:
Pastor Heather also does professional make-up artistry mainly for Bensenville's Music in the Park, 4th of July, and some holiday events. She also does many kinds of parties for special events, birthday's, business events, block parties, non-profit, and churches. For more information on parties, see Pastor Heather or go to Living Waters Artistry on Yelp and www.livingwatersartistry.com.
Pastor Heather also volunteers for the Lombard Lilac Parade. Here she books groups to volunteer and trains them to help with the parade. Also, while booking meeting locations, banner carriers, announcing locations, finding out who is the Lilac Queen and Court, helping with the fundraisers for Adult Easter Egg Hunt and Wine Walks, ordering golf carts, and getting and making the awards and sending them out. The Lilac Parade is always the 3rd Sunday in May.
She is also a member of the Lombard, IL VFW/AUX Lilac Post #5815. She has been with them since 2011/2. She is now a lifetime member, and has been chaplain, district guard, patriotic instructor, and now Jr. Vice President. The Auxiliary helps current vets, and ones that are home. We also take care of the Main Street Cemetery for the ones that have passed. We have sent care packages overseas; and we collect products for the local VA Hospital, and other local veteran places. Like the veteran homeless shelter. Our post also helps with the National Home families in Michigan. Every year we collect what candy is left over from the holiday from schools and other places and send it to them.
The VFW/AUX also are involved with many schools to help educate the children about veterans' affairs. We teach them why free isn't free, how to fold the flag, and other things. The Vets will go in a talk about their journeys, so they can get a first-hand account of what happened. We also do many scholarship programs for all age groups. These start from younger children have a coloring, poster, and small essay. The high school - Voice of Democracy, middle school - Patriot’s Pen, Continuing Education, high school - Young American Creative Patriotic Art are the main scholarship contests. See community partners for link to website for more information on the contest and how to enter. We also do a Buddy Poppy contest for the post to raise money to fund our post, along with Poppy Day.
Other Things she likes to do
Pastor Heather also likes to sing and plays the clarinet. She likes to dance and is eclectic with all kinds of art: acrylics, watercolors, face paint, wall paint, ceramics, photography, metals, woods, and clay. She likes all kinds of canvases: skin, walls, papers, and windows. She loves nature and going camping up at White Pines Forest State Park in Mt. Morris, IL. She loves funny and action movies. Pastor listens to K-Love and Air 1, with some country and oldies mixed in. Pastor also loves animals of most kinds.
For God's Glory: Her Struggles
Pastor Heather also used to be in the Triton Troopers Circus at Triton College for 5 years. The fifth year she got seriously injured doing the stunt trampoline. She was paralyzed on the left side for a time. They took her to Gottlieb Hospital ER and found 3 cracked vertebrae. They didn't know what to do with her. Her mom and friend were by her side, and they prayed. Then, everyone in the ER started to laugh together. After a time, we all died down. Her body went limp and couldn't move. She didn't have any really bad pain at the time, and no concept of time and space. The doctors re-did the x-ray, and found the cracked vertebrae healed, and just two bulging discs at the time. With lots of therapy, she was able to move again. Through the years her body has taken a beating through other injuries and autoimmune issues; with her faith and therapy, she has come very far. Due to her health, she uses a cane/walker when needed. She can't stand for long periods of time, so she sits for the service. She has known pain of all sorts and is a proven testimony to YeHoVaH's love. She believes that by seeing her strength in YeHoVaH, can help others have the same strength in their issues they are having. Can YeHoVaH heal her? Yes, she knows He can! But she believes YeHoVaH will heal her enough to endure. The rest of the issues stays for other people's example to point towards YeHoVah. We should all lead by example of Yeshua, in which he is her example. Currently, she is battling an infection that is not contagious, but very resistant to most medicine. Possibly caused by the Lupus and it medicine. By YeHoVaH's grace it has not spread too much, but she is on her third doctor to help. Please pray for her! May the Peace of YeHoVaH the Father and the son Yeshua HaMashiach's name be with you all. Amen!
